Jon Bennett – Partner of BloomingContracts.com. Jon’s expertise is with customers in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Mining. Commercial contract expertise in the area of construction, EPCM contracts, maintenance and asset integrity, product supply feedstock, finished chemical product – both commodity and specialty, take or pay for specialized products, ship building construction & maintenance, pipeline construction, throughput and maintenance, marine/road/rail logistics, aviation joint venture facilities and asset sharing.
A particular expertise that Jon developed was the concept of contracting strategies and how these feed into the business plans and strategies. These were developed in Shell under his leadership and implemented to take contracting to the next level. He has also mentored and trained senior executives in the world of contracting and assisting them to both understand the risks at a strategic level and then to implement tactics and plans to manage the risks.
Now based in Australia, Jon has significant experience in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Japan. He also provides insights into gaining senior management buy-in and understanding as to “‘what good looks like’ in commercial & commercial contracting for both buy and sales sides. Nikole Kan – Partner of BloomingContracts.com, Nikole’s industry expertise is with large customers and suppliers in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical sectors.
She has over 20 years’ experience creating and supporting the sales and procurement functions. This includes designing and developing processes and systems, as well as negotiating and managing sale/purchase contracts in portfolios of significant value. She has trained and coached participants from commercial trading business, petrochemical supply and trading plus finance executives. These best in class courses were to underpin sales and supply relationship management processes implementations for Shell’s global businesses in Asia and Middle East.
Nikole has in depth understanding of both Tactical and Strategic procurement process including the entire Requisition to Pay (RtP), Vendor Management, Category management, Contract management, Supplier relationship management.
She has also driven successful transformation initiatives such as process simplification, off shoring of finance and procurement functions
Her stakeholders include senior executives, commercial and technical professionals, major EPCs and operations in areas of capital projects, site maintenance and manufacturing spanning across Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas.

Eric Eggink – Partner of BloomingContracts.com, Eric’s industry expertise is with large project contractors in the Infrastructure, Oil and Gas and Petrochemicals sectors.
He has over 35 years’ experience negotiation and providing legal support from an owners and a contractors’ perspective. This includes designing and developing bespoke contracts or/and generally known industry standards, as well as negotiating and managing outcomes in portfolios of significant value.
He trains and coach organisations and is seen as an authority in FIDIC, NEC and ICC industry standards both from owner’s and contractor’s perspectives. These best in class courses he provides, are to underpin the importance of setting project objectives and how to achieve them; project governance, contract management, early dispute resolution and people management.
Prior to BloomingContracts.com, Eric’s business career included senior roles at Ballast Nedam, legal counsel and company secretary. He has been involved in various major infrastructure projects e.g. Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong, Island of St. Martin Harbour Facilities, as well as development and private finance projects in infrastructure and sports facilities such as the sports stadiums for Sporting Lisboa and FC Porto in Portugal. For the Construction Consortia, he was involved as the coordinating legal counsel for the High Speed Rail Link Project between Amsterdam and Brussels. For Technip, he was Legal Manager and was responsible for the company’s full range of contracting from Basic engineering through Lump Sum Turn Key contracts, as well as the Company’s Corporate Affairs including Mergers and Acquisitions.
Next to his business career with Ballast Nedam, Technip and Construction Consortia, he was director of the NABU, the Netherlands Association of International Contractors and is involved in Dispute Boards and is registered as an ICC Arbitrator, arbitrator at the Netherlands Arbitration Institute and the London Court of International Arbitration.
And also, a member of the European International Contractors Legal Working Group and co-author of the “EIC Contractor’s guides to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract and the EIC Blue Book on Sustainable Procurement and is currently chairman of the ICC Working Group that has drafted the ICC Model Joint Venture/Consortium Agreement and is drafting the revision of the ICC Model Turnkey Contract for Major Projects and the ICC Model Subcontract under the Commission Commercial Law and Practice of the ICC.

Bas Kloppenborg – Partner of Bloomingcontracts.com and founding partner of shpKlop BV, Bas’ industry expertise is with large customers and suppliers in the Oil & Gas, Banking, Telecoms and Technology sector. Since his departure with Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) in 2010 he has also become active for the local public sector in the Netherlands (Energy transition, social innovation a.o.)
He has almost 30 years’ experience leading and partnering in Technical, Commercial and Operational functions, mostly corporate transformation: change management, leadership development, strategy formulation and business improvement. For 22 years he performed these roles within RDS in multiple countries, in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Since Knowledge Management is an integral part of the RDS organization in multiple occasions he worked with his later KMA colleague Peter Kemper, well known as Mr. Shell Wiki.

He has over 40 years’ experience leading and partnering Information technology, Information and Innovation management, of which 36years in Royal Dutch Shell (RDS).
Peter Kemper is a very experienced Information Management and Information Technology consultant with wide experience in many sub disciplines including Knowledge Management, Process and Change management. He lead innovations incl. Virtual Worlds, Gaming & Simulation, Enterprise Wikipedia’s, vector based similarity checking, Open Source based Application Architectures and Enterprise Social media (like Yammer) a.o.
During 2015-2016 He was the RDS IM Service delivery team lead. Leading a team across the Netherlands and the USA that supports Shell’s New Business Development teams. In this period Peter achieved his LEAN certification in optimizing Shell processes around the management of Most Confidential information
As a Learning Information Technology strategy business analyst he managed the adaptation and implementation of emerging Learning technology ( e.g. video, mobile learning ). Activity was highly focused on Innovation in Learning.
During his career Peter always coached and trained young staff many of which still work at RDS. At a certain point in time he was globally well known as “Mr.Shell Wiki”.
